Eyes are the windows to the soul.
Think about how often you look into the eyes of another being.
You do this to check in. To assess the level of connection. To “see” if you’re being listened to + understood. And perhaps you’re looking for confirmation that you’re simply not alone in that very moment.
While a person’s expression through body language + facial expressions can hide emotions, the eyes are usually pretty honest. We can always sense the emotional state of another by connecting with their eyes. So why would it be any different with our own eyes? They tell so much about our inner working - all one has to do, is pay attention.
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting uses the eyes as a window to the soul and a portal to healing. It is a holistic healing modality built on the mind-body-spirit connection. Brainspotting is based on particular points in the person’s field of vision (“spots”) that are used to connect with a particular issue or memory stored in the brain and bring it forward for healing. It turns out that where we look in our field of vision is closely related to how our brain stores information, and the feelings associated with that information. This is very similar to how a particular memory can be triggered by a smell or a song you haven’t heard in a long time. Memories, feelings, and thought patterns are associated with certain sounds, smells, and eye position. During a brainspotting session, the position of your eyes acts as a special key to unlock what hasn’t been reachable previously – It is a key that opens the door to healing.

How Does It Work?
I guide your eye movements, monitoring which reflective signals may be revealing a brainspot. This can include facial expressions, eye twitch, brow furrow, facial tic, pupil dilation, yawn, cough, and movement. When I discover brainspots, I will help you focus on that spot and work through a distressing memory or emotion. Brainspotting examines the body’s natural self-scanning ability focusing on how the brain reflexively signals emotions.
Brainspotting can be used to identify trauma by examining how it manifests in your body. For example, this may be pinpointed in your chest, head, or stomach. It is where you experience discomfort or pain when faced with your trauma.
Using a pointer to hold eye contact, I will find a spot in your field of vision that connects with the trauma or emotion. Then I’ll locate where on your body this experience manifests (physical sensation).
Focusing on that spot, your mind is fully focused on the issues and begins healing. The ‘brainspot’ refers to the position of your eyes when the emotional responses awaken. Brainspotting is a therapy that can be both done on its own and in conjunction with other talk therapies, somatic modalities and Reiki.

Pricing
Initial Brainspotting sessions are 90 minutes long. Subsequent sessions can be 90 minutes or 60 minutes depending on the need.
The following is a pricing structure based in economic justice.
A) Standard Cost: $200 for 90 minutes | $150 for 50 minutes
(The actual cost of the service. If you choose a price below this, you are receiving a discount.)
B) Supported Cost: $150 for 90 minutes | $100 for 50 minutes
(For those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. The purchase of this may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.)
C) Extra Support Cost: $100 for 90 minutes | $50 for 50 minutes
(The most supported option is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this would still be a significant hardship.)
D) Pay It Forward Cost: $225 for 90 minutes | $175 for 50 minutes
(Cost of the service plus a little extra to help create access for others. The extra money goes towards supporting the lower tier of the sliding scale and future free and low-cost offerings. Essentially it's an opportunity to not only receive support but also to support your fellow humans in need, while you're at it.).

At 44 years old, I’m finally living as my most authentic Self. The past decade+ has been a wild ride of transformation for me. I underwent a hysterectomy, ended a 12-year marriage, did some deep heart-wrenching-soul-healing work, met my current partner & remarried, closed a successful couples therapy practice in Orange County, CA to start over solo and in 2023 moved 1,000+ miles away, to Portland, Oregon and began an entirely new, wild & magickal part of my journey.
Along the way, I experienced a spiritual awakening that changed everything. I embraced parts of my identity that were hidden for far too long, came out as queer (pansexual), and proudly declared my magickal witchyness, breaking away from the Catholic religion I was raised in.
These experiences have fueled my passion for helping others through their own BIG moments and also those quieter moments. I've been supported by a community of soul friends, therapists, healers, and mentors all along the way. Now, I create tender, honest spaces for you to find your people and feel a sense of belonging—just as I have.
